
Writers on the Bay: David Lehman

David Lehman lives in New York City where he teaches in the graduate writing program of the New School. He received the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for his most recent nonfiction book, A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs. He edited The Oxford Book of American Poetry and is the author of seven books of poetry including The Daily Mirror and When a Woman Loves a Man.
The first guest speaker of the Creative Writing Program's Fall 2012 Writers on the Bay Reading Series is the series editor of The Best American Poetry, which he initiated in 1988, and is general editor of the University of Michigan Press's Poets on Poetry Series.
The reading will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18th in the Bookstore on the first floor of the Wolfe University Center (WUC) on Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC).
