Maryland Department of Natural Resources is seeking a natural resources biologist to participate in the planning and implementation of freshwater stream ecological assessments and will serve as a member of a field crew responsible for the collection of data on fishes, benthic macroinvertebrates, herpetofauna, crayfishes, freshwater mussels, physical habitat, water quality, and land use in non-tidal streams and rivers as part of the Maryland Biological Stream Survey.

The position offers the opportunity to help create a sustainability program for #100 ranked public high school in the country and serve as a model plan for the nation’s 5th largest school district.This unpaid position will require an 8-10/hour a week commitment with bi-weekly consultations with the Chair of the MAST PTA Sustainability Committee, Michele Drucker. Adventure Sports Miami hosts a yearly water summer camp for Fisher Island Day School. This water camp has been designed to teach children of ages 4-12 how to swim, paddle, sail and engage in environmental education. Applicants must be available from June 12th – July 28th. We are searching for responsible applicants with knowledge and experience in water activities and a strong willingness to work with children.
