The Biscayne Bay GIS Center, located in Hubert Library, is now open.
The newly outfitted Teaching Lab (Rm 124) features high-end computers loaded with GIS software such as ARCGIS, ENVI and ERDAS Imagine. The Teaching Lab offers free and fee-based workshops, and can be reserved for GIS-related training or class instruction. The Lab is open during Library operating hours.
In the GIS Research and Consultation Office (Rm 127), a GIS specialist is available to assist with map publishing, data retrieval and analysis, and printing full-color maps and posters. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In addition, the new Geocommons Lounge offers maps, geographical reference sources, comfy seating, and a gaming station for students' enjoyment.
