Agroecology student poster places first at national conference

Three students from the Department of Earth and Environment's Agroecology Program placed first for their joint poster presentation at the National USDA HSI Project Directors Conference.

Held last week in Edinburg, Texas, FIU students Miles Medina, Luke Thema, and Adisbelkis Alvarez won first place for their joint poster entitled: "The role of student farm on agricultural science curriculum, research and urban outreach."

The winning poster was one of 35 posters in the Education Category presented by students from all over the country.
