FIU MARC U*STAR & MBRS RISE Student Mini-Symposium a success

The 2012 FIU MARC U*STAR & MBRS RISE Student Mini-Symposium was a great success. The annual symposium was held on October 8th and 9th, 2012 and included all levels of student presentations, ranging from a high school student to undergraduates to seasoned Ph.D. candidates. Student presentations spanned several disciplines including psychology, developmental and molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, neuroscience and biomedical and mechanical engineering. The students’ presentations were informative and addressed recent advances in our understanding of the biomedical sciences.
