Isabel Allende Receives Lawrence A. Sanders Award for Fiction

Acclaimed Latin American author Isabel Allende will visit FIU on Monday, Mar. 5 to receive the Lawrence A. Sanders Award for Fiction from the English Department's Creative Writing Program. Allende will also give a public lecture as part of the Creative Writing Program's Writers on the Bay Reading Series.

The event is open to the public and begins at 8:00 p.m. in the Wolfe University Center (WUC) room 224 on Biscayne Bay campus (BBC). Following the presentation of the award, Allende and creative writing professor Debra Dean will chat on stage, a la James Lipton's Inside the Actors Studio.
