Coastline to Classroom
The Coastline to Classroom program combines experiential learning with service-learning. Students are provided with ecologically important coastal plant species accompanied by a lesson on south Florida ecosystems and their role in our community. Students create their own experiments, caring for the plants throughout the school year. In partnership with Miami-Dade county DERM, the program connects students to their local environment by inviting them to use the plants in an active ecosystem restoration at the end of the school year.
